Join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring distinguished scholars leading this transformative journey. They will share their experiences in leveraging GenAI to enhance research productivity, overcome language barriers, support existing business courses, and expand business curricula. J. Leon Zhao (Panel Moderator)

Leon Zhao is currently Presidential Chair Professor at the School of Management and Economics, Co-Head of Information Systems and Operations Management, Co-Directors of Master Program on Information Management and Business Analytics and Master Program on Data Sciences, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Director of Center on Blockchain and Intelligent Technology (CBIT) of Shenzhen Institute of Data Economics. Before joining CUHKSZ, he was with the City University of Hong Kong as Chair Professor (2009-2020) and Head (2009-2015) of Information Systems. Before then, he was an Eller Professor in MIS, University of Arizona. He holds a Ph.D. from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. His current research interests include human-AI collaboration, blockchain, FinTech, and business intelligence. He is a founding co-EiC of Financial Innovation, a Springer OpenAccess Journal, the first SSCI journal in finance-related subjects in China. He has published numerous papers in Information Systems Research, INFORMS Journal of Computing, Management Science, MIS Quarterly, Journal of MIS, and IEEE / ACM Transactions. His research has been funded by NSF of the US, NSFC of China, RGC and ITF of Hong Kong, SIC Shenzhen, SAP, and IBM, among other funding agencies. He received IBM Faculty Award in 2005 and Chang Jiang Scholar Chair Professorships in 2009 and 2022.


Juan Feng (Panellist)

Juan Feng is Hon Hai chair professor in the Department of Management Science and Engineering, School of Economics and Management & Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University. She holds a B.A. in economics from Renmin University of China, and a PhD in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University, with a dual title in Operations Research. She serves as Senior Editor for Information Systems Research, Production & Operations Management and E-Commerce Research & Applications. She also serves in the editorial board for JMIS and IJEC. She now serves as vice president of Association for Information Systems (Region 3), and Director of Research Center on Digital Economy (Greater Bay Area), School of Economics & Management Shenzhen Research Institute, Tsinghua University.


Jingjing Li (Panellist)

Jingjing Li is the Andersen Alumni Associate Professor at the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia. Her research interests relate to artificial intelligence and big data analytics, with applications in search engine, healthcare, marketing, platform and public policy. Her research has been published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Marketing, Strategic Management Journal, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Management Information Systems, and ACM Transactions in Information Systems. She is a winner of the INFORMS Design Science Award, INFORMS CIST Best Paper Award, INFORMS Data Science Workshop Best Paper Award, WITS Best Paper Award, and WITS Best Prototype Award. Her research is also nominated as the finalist for Shelby D. Hunt/Harold H. Maynard Award. Her projects have received funding from notable institutions and companies, including NSF, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, the Jefferson Trust, and the UVA Data Analytics Center. She currently serves as an associate editor for MIS Quarterly. Apart from her research, Professor Li has demonstrated excellence in education, receiving the teaching award at the University of Colorado at Boulder and an Annual Faculty Recognition Award by the Order of Claw and Dagger at the University of Virginia. In 2023, she was named one of the Poet & Quants Best Undergraduate Professors, acknowledging her commitment to delivering exceptional educational experiences to her students.


Harry Jiannan Wang (Panellist)

Harry Jiannan Wang is a Full Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Delaware, with over 18 years of experience in research, teaching, and management in AI, Data Science, Business Process Management, and Enterprise Systems. He is also affiliated with the Data Science Institute and the Institute for Financial Services Analytics at the University of Delaware. Professor Wang is the Founder and CEO of Takin.AI, a startup focused on AI education. He has served as the Chief Scientist of Tezign Inc., an Independent Director for So-Young International Inc. (NASDAQ: SY), the Founding Director of OneConnect (NYSE: OCFT) US Research Institute in New York City, and the VP of Technology for the Association for Information Systems. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Social Computing, and Human-Computer Interaction. His work has been published in academic journals such as Management Information Systems Quarterly, Information Systems Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and Decision Support Systems.
